Simon Fawcett : Chairman and Chief Executive

Simon has been a well known name in the bus industry for many years, being a successful operator in the 1980's and early 90's before diversifying into the supply side of the industry when he established Cheshire Bus and Coach, which in 1998 became Mistral. Simon looks after the purchasing and strategic side of the business. A keen sailor, flyer and golfer Simon is always on the go.

Steve Low : Commercial Director

Steve joined Mistral in 1999 from Plaxton Coach and Bus, having previously worked in various commercial positions for Perkins Engines. He has been Commercial Director since 2008, and is responsible for all sales, marketing and operational activities. Steve’s hobbies include a variety of water-sports, mountain biking and watching rugby.

Tim Matthews : Operations Director

Tim joined Mistral in 2000 from Optare Group where he was Materials Manager for the Rotherham built plant. He looks after the management of the rental fleet and leads the Sales team, whilst retaining business development responsibilities for the North of England and North Wales. Being Yorkshire born and bred, Tim has two failings, being impossible to keep quiet and also the excessive consumption of tea! His mobile phone bill and his operator's tea bag bills bear testament to this. Tim's hobbies include mountain biking and watching motor sport.

Jill Blake : Regional Sales Manager

Jill joined Mistral in February 2007 from Cummins where she worked in the After Sales Department. Jill looks after buisness development for  Southourn England and South Wales. Jill's hobbies include DIY and anything to do with cars and truck racing.

James Kay : Regional Sales Manager

James joined Mistral in April 2008 from Optare, where he worked for several years in both sales support and direct sales positions. James  looks after business development in Scotland for both sales and rentals. James's hobbies include supporting Sheffield United, playing golf and going to the gym!! When he isn't doing any of those things, his little girl keeps him occupied.

Martyn Bellis : Regional Sales Manager

Martyn has joined Mistral as Regional Sales Manager for Wales and
the Midlands. He joins Mistral from Alliance and Leicester Santander
Corporate Banking, where he headed up the bus and coach rental fleet, from its formation in 2005. Martyn has 14 years experience in the bus rental market and is a well known and respected figure in the industry. Martyn's hobbies include playing & watching football
(a keen Arsenal fan), outdoor sports activities and building and renovating motorbikes.

Stephen Priestley : Finance Director

Stephen joined Mistral in 2003 having held a number of senior finance positions in a diverse number of industries. He has been instrumental in reshaping the administrative and financial side of Mistral, developing many of the different financial packages that we currently offer. Stephen has the tricky job of trying to make sense of the deals that the sales team agree, frequently having to employ extra-sensory perception to understand their dubious grasp of mathematics. Stephen is also a keen golfer.

Rob Hallworth : Director Mistral Asset Finance

Rob has joined Mistral to head up the Mistral Asset Finance business which has been established to support new and existing Mistral customers with the arrangement of finance for vehicle purchases and other items of capital expenditure.  Prior to joining Mistral Rob headed up the bus and coach lending division of Alliance & Leicester plc (also incorporating Hansar Finance) where he firmly established A&L as a leading finance provider to the bus & coach market across its two brands. He has built up an excellent reputation through many years of experience in the asset finance market and is well known amongst suppliers, manufacturers and operators alike.

Outside of work Rob is a keen mountain biker, swimmer (still awaiting the
call for 2012) and long time follower of the wealthiest football club in Manchester!
He has varied musical tastes which have often been the subject of much hilarity within his team.

Lindsey Vickers : PA & Mistral Developments 

Lindsey joined Mistral in April 2008, as Simons PA and to take control of Mistral Developments. She will be working closely with all of the Mistral team in various roles. She previously worked at Brookdale Developments for 11 years based in Knutsford. Lindsey enjoys going to to gym and spending time with her daughter.

Bill Moore : Non-Executive Director

Bill recently joined Mistral as Non-Executive Director having previously held senior financial and operational positions in a number of sectors.  Bill has joined to help the business develop its plans, systems and processes to support its growth ambitions and to assist in the review of its funding arrangements.  Bill has three children and as well as delivering food parcels to various universities his hobbies include tennis, golf and sailing.

Michelle Butler : Sales Administration Manager

Michelle joined Mistral in 2003, she has a background in sales administration in the truck industry having worked for truck dealerships in the past. She has the unenviable task of trying to organise the Sales Team. Michelle also works wonders in our order processing and will be often found dealing with final specifications and vehicle deliveries.

Andy McKeiver : After Sales Manager

Andy joined Mistral in January 2008, as our After Sales Manager from Esker Bus and Coach, where he was the Senior Field Engineer. Andy's new role will entail visits to Customers, handover of new vehicles, interim and final inspection on rental vehicles. Andy has over 23 years experience in the Bus and Coach Industry and is a former employee of Optare where he was a field Engineer for 7 years. Andy's hobbies include motorsport, and the most important spending time with his family.

Beverley Dobson : Rental Administration Manager

Bev joined Mistral in January 2008, to work alongside Michelle in Sales Admin from Swan Plant Limited where she spent 8 years as a Hire Desk Controller. Bev's new role will be controlling the rental fleet and assisting in the implementation of our new computer system amongst other things... Bev likes to do pilates and occasionally goes horse-riding.
